Creating an Aircraft Database

Before printing out a database, you might want to set the headers and trailers lines for the cover page.  See the Initialization Values and Header Page for information on setting these items.

To print a database, select File / Print on the menu bar or press Ctrl + P on the keyboard.

Each item in the aircraft is displayed.  The icon on the left indicates whether none, all, or some but not all of the airworthiness directives for that item are to be printed.  If the box is empty, that item will not appear in the report.   Initially, all items are selected.  In the above example, all the airworthiness directives and compliance records are to be printed for the airframe and for propeller #2 and only some of them for propeller #1.

If you double click on that line, you get a finer level of detail for that item.   For example, clicking on propeller #1 gives us the following dialog box.

We have chosen to only print AD number 1996-18-14 and the compliance records for that AD.

It is also possible to step to a deeper level of detail.  If we double click on AD 1996-18-14, the software displays a dialog box showing the compliance records for AD 1996-18-14.

After we have comleted selecting what we wish to print, we press the OK buttons and the report is printed.

If you save the file after printing it, the selection of which ADs and Compliance Records to print and which not to print is saved in the database file.  Any new ADs or compliance reocrds that are added will be set to be printed.
