Registry settings
The registry settings for the Internet Compliance Software are all stored under

Note:  It is generally not a good idea to edit the registry.   Under some circumstances, a minor error may result in a total failure of your operating system.  In such cases, it may be necessary to reinstall the entire operating system from scratch.

Default: compliance.aftd.com
Description: This setting is used to allow the software to use an alternate Compliance Server.  For a large company or institution, it may be worthwhile for the company to operate its' own Compliance Server so that the accesses are local and are therefore faster than accesses via the Internet.

Default: insert information here for the top of the cover page
Description: The information contained in this key is centered at the top of the cover page when printing a report.  This provides the user with the ability to customize the cover page of the reports.  The value is printed only if the PrintHeader key is set to a nonzero value.
To Change: Select Setup / Header Page on the menu bar.   Change the value in the upper edit box.

Default: d:\CmplncDB
Description: This value of this key identifies the disk drive and directory used for the CD-ROM.  The major reason you might want to change this value is if you copy the data base from the CD-ROM onto your hard drive for faster access and so that you will not need to insert the CD-ROM into the drive to execute the software.
To Change: Select Setup / Select Database on the menu bar.  Change the value in the Local Database Location edit box.

Data Type: REG_DWORD
Default: 3
Description: This value contains the number of database versions to use.  For example, the default value of 3 instructs the software to keep the current version and the two previous versions of the database.  Whether you are using your computer, the AeroFlight Compliance Server for storage, or both at the same time, the total number of versions for both together is this value.
Minimum: 1
Maximum: 5
To Change: Select Setup / Misc on the menu bar.   Change the value in the edit box.

Description: This contains the password you use to log onto the AeroFlight Tech Data Service.  If you do not access the database files from the AD Compliance Server and you do not select the remote storage option to store files on the AD Compliance Server, you should leave this blank.
To Change: Select Setup / Select Database on the menu bar.  Change the value in the Internet Database / Password edit box.

Description: This controls whether or not the value in the Header key is centered on the top of the cover page of reports.
Value = 0: The Header key will not be printed on the report cover page.
Value = 1: The Header key will be printed on the report cover page.
To Change: Select Setup / Header Page on the menu bar.   Check or uncheck the Print at Top of Page checkbox.

Description: This controls whether or not the value in the Trailer key is centered on the bottom of the cover page of reports.
Value = 0: The Trailer key will not be printed on the report cover page.
Value = 1: The Trailer key will be printed on the report cover page.
To Change: Select Setup / Header Page on the menu bar.   Check or uncheck the Print at Bottom of Page checkbox.

Data Type: REG_DWORD
Description: This controls whether the databases may be stored on the AeroFlight Tech Data AD Compliance Server.
Value = 0: The data will not be stored on the AeroFlight Tech Data AD Compliance Server.  If data has been stored on the Server and then this key is changed to 0, it will not show up in the File Box again until the key is changed back to 1.
Value = 1: The data may be stored on the AeroFlight Tech Data AD Compliance Server if selected.
To change: Select Setup / Select Database on the menu bar.  Check or uncheck the Store Data at AeroFlight checkbox.

Description: The information contained in this key is centered at the bottom of the cover page when printing a report.  This provides the user with the ability to customize the cover page of the reports.  The value is printed only if the PrintTrailer key is set to a nonzero value.
To Change: Select Setup / Header Page on the menu bar.   Change the value in the lower edit box.

Default: 1
Description: Thie selects whether to access the AD database from the AeroFlight Tech Data AD Compliance Server or to access the AD database from an alternate server.  In either case, the UseNetwork key must be set to 1 for the value to be used.
Value = 0: Access the data from an alternate server.
Value = 1: Access the data from the AeroFlight Tech Data AD Compliance Server.
To Change: Select Setup / Select Database on the menu bar.  Select either AeroFlight Tech Data or Alternate Database in the Internet Database Information box.

Description: Selects whether to access the AD database from a CD-ROM or from the AeroFlight Tech Data AD Compliance Server.
Value = 0: Access the data from the AeroFlight Tech Data CD-ROM Library.
Value = 1: Access the data from the AeroFLight Tech Data AD Compliance Server (or the alternate server if the UseAFTD key is set to 0).
To Change: Select Setup / Select Database on the menu bar.  Select either Local Computer or AeroFlight in the Location of Data box.

Description: This contains the user name you use to log onto the AeroFlight Tech Data Service.  If you do not access the database files from the AD Compliance Server and you do not select the remote storage option to store files on the AD Compliance Server, you may leave this blank.
